Septami Setiawati was one of the happiest students in 2014. This is because Septami succeeded in becoming UNTAN's Outstanding Student. Starting from the education she received from elementary, middle and high school Gembala Baik Pontianak, Septami began entering Tanjungpura University with the status of a 2011 MIPA Chemistry student. With the motto don't be an ordinary person, be an extraordinary one, Septami has a vision to make people happy. parents, alma mater and useful for other people. Apart from that, Septami has a DLTMB mission, namely Doing what I love, Loving what I am doing, Trying to be global-minded, Maintaining the "kid's" spirit, and Be grateful even at the worst moment.
Doing what I love
Her love for debating and speaking English makes Septami never stop continuing to develop her learning process. Of course, this is proven by the achievements he obtained in the field of debate, namely second place in the debate competition held by HIMATIKA UNTAN and second best speaker in the English language debate selection held by FMIPA UNTAN.
Loving what I am doing
All students will definitely feel bored if they just sit, be quiet, and listen to what the lecturer explains. That's what Septami felt. However, for Septami, trying to live it wholeheartedly is a solution to overcome the unpleasant feeling while the college process is underway.
Trying to be global-minded
As a social human, interacting with other people is a must to develop personality. Especially those who want to develop their English to make their pronunciation more fluent. Septami does this by participating in international activities which enable her to talk and exchange information with people from other countries. According to him, laziness and fear make someone not want to learn English.
Maintaining the “kid’s” spirit
A small child who is continuously given education from the beginning until adulthood will instill a great sense of self-confidence in him. Septami thinks that mature people can learn from small children who always want to learn new things and keep trying even if they fail. When the learning process has been understood, the never-ending feeling of gratitude should never be forgotten.
Be grateful even at the worst moment
If people are always grateful for what they have obtained, then God will give them more blessings than before. This will make life even more beautiful. Septami has a way of studying that is not well scheduled. However, he also tried the system of learning in installments and overnight. The result is of course very comfortable by studying in installments before the exam arrives. Septami is also always focused, sits at the front and cannot be sleepy so that during class the knowledge taught by the lecturer can be absorbed well.
With very proud achievements, Septami is still an ordinary student who would never be able to develop without the help of her parents, friends, lecturers and those closest to her.
