Facing the increasingly developing era of globalization, students are not only required to master academic scientific fields on campus. The mindset in building a business is very important as a material for learning and forging oneself and building strong character, so that in the future, students can have insight and develop work based on their soft skills.

CHEMPRENEUR, which was initiated from the Entrepreneurship Course in the Chemistry Department, FMIPA, Tanjungpura University, is here as a business learning forum for chemistry students. This activity takes the form of an entrepreneurial talk series that presents speakers from entrepreneurs and startup founders in Pontianak City.\

CHEMPRENEUR for the first time (Volume 01) was held on Wednesday (13 December 2017) with speakers, namely: M. Hafiz Waliyuddin, Founder and CEO of Angkuts Indonesia, a technology start-up company engaged in waste management in Pontianak City. Hafiz shared experiences about the ups and downs of starting a startup, the mindset that an entrepreneur must have and shared tips on managing a team. More than 60 chemistry students took part in this activity. Student enthusiasm was also evident from the discussion session held at the end of the event. In the future, the Chemistry Department will also continue to strive to "turn on" student creativity, especially with activities that can build soft skills.
