ON MIPA is a prestigious competition event among students. This competition has been organized by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs since 2009. ON MIPA consists of 4 fields, namely Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Of course, this competition has a positive impact, especially in preparing students to master basic science and mathematics, the ultimate goal of which is to encourage the nation's competitiveness.

ON MIPA is implemented in three stages, namely stage I at the tertiary level, stage II at the regional level, and stage III at the national level. The National Olympiad in Higher Education Mathematics and Natural Sciences (ON MIPA-PT) was held on February 28 2017 at the UNTAN Auditorium Building. This selection at the tertiary level was attended by 107 people in the field of Mathematics, 97 people in the field of Physics, 168 people in the field of Chemistry, and 146 people in the field of biology.

Alhamdulillah, 4 students majoring in chemistry at FMIPA Tanjungpura University managed to dominate the top 5 winners of ON MIPA 2017 at the Higher Education level in the field of Chemistry. Congratulations to Sahri (2013), Alvin Salendra (2013), Sabrina Maulidya Amir (2014) and Hairunnisa (2014). The top 3 in each ON MIPA field will compete at the Regional Level. The spirit of competing in the ON MIPA Selection at the Regional Level which will be held on 22-23 March and at the National Level on 14-18 May 2017. Good luck! (Sparrow)
