Public Lecture and Chemistry Workshop: Strategy for Downstreaming and Commercialization of Higher Education Research Results and Response to the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
The October activity of the Chemistry Department, Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program, on October 25 2019, presented an inventor and drafter as a resource person, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur, DEA. He is a professor in the field of plasma technology, has published various cross-scientific and cross-border scientific works, has several patents and licenses with companies, and has won various awards related to the implementation of national-level innovation. Apart from serving at Diponegoro University, he is also active in various professional organizations.
In this activity, Prof. Nur shared his journey experiences from basic research to obtaining various patents, to the production and commercialization stages of products, which culminated in providing benefits to students, institutions and especially society. On this occasion, Prof. Nur also explained the concept of Teaching Industry at Diponegoro University, which is a system unit consisting of producer companies, academics who act as conceptors, innovators and product developers, the government which can act as policy control holder. The views and experiences shared during this Public Lecture and Chemistry Workshop have inspired and enlightened the participants present, namely the academic community in the FMIPA environment, especially lecturers and students of the Chemistry Department, FMIPA UNTAN.
