Fmipa Chemistry Students Do Internships In Sakura Country, Japan

FMIPA Chemistry students do internships in Sakura Country, Japan. Who doesn't know Japan? Especially for anime fans. Japan is not only known for anime, but it is also very well known as a country that is very disciplined and pays attention to the problem of processing waste to create an environment that is not only clean, but also healthy. For Japan, the words 3R (Reduse, reuse, recycle) are not just a dream or slogan.  Luckily, two Chemistry students from FMIPA Untan named Ulfa Farizka Hidayati and Wahyu Setiawan have carried out internships in Sakura Country.

The selection of student interns to Japan was carried out on 9-11 November 2018. A number of students must complete a number of documents that are requirements for the internship. For those who pass the file selection, an interview selection is then carried out with the company from Japan. After waiting, finally on December 3 2018 it was announced that two Chemistry students from FMIPA Untan had successfully graduated. They left for their internship on June 23 2018 for Osaka.

This practical work was carried out at the Kankyou Mirai company which operates in the field of environmental monitoring. This internship activity was carried out because of the MOU between Tanjungpura University and PT Kankyou Mirai. The internship was held for 3 months in the city of Matsumoto, Nagano. The city is famous for its beautiful Castle and museum.

Anyway, before they leave for Japan, the interns first take an intensive Japanese language course for 3 months in the city of Pontianak. Arriving in Japan, Ulfa and Wahyu stayed in Maizuru-Shi, Kyoto to further deepen their Japanese language skills then left for Nagano.

Hopefully their stories inspire young people to care more about the environment and be more enthusiastic about seeking experiences abroad and achieving their dreams.
