Tanjungpura University's (Untan) Student Creativity Program for Exact Research (PKM-PE) team made a brilliant achievement by winning a gold medal at the 32nd National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) held at Udayana University, Bali from 27 to 31 August 2019.
PKM-PE "Making Bio Batteries from Coconut Oil Waste (Blondo)" successfully led the team led by Indra Amin Jaya (Chemistry Study Program FMIPA) with members Rizky Aprilia Tauriska from Chemical Engineering Study Program and Imam Firdaus Kharisma Juda from Electrical Engineering Study Program, to win the gold medal in the PKM-PE scientific poster category.
This gold medal is a new history for UNTAN because it is the first gold medal in the history of PIMNAS. "Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to our PKM advisor, Mrs. Intan Syahbanu S.Si, M.Si, and of course grateful to all those who have helped us in achieving achievements at the 32nd PIMNAS" said Indra Amin Jaya, Chairman of the PKM-PE UNTAN Team.
The participants of the 32nd Pimnas were the largest number of participants from previous years, as many as 1,614 students and 460 accompanying lecturers from 70 state universities and 56 private universities throughout Indonesia. They are divided into 460 teams selected from the Student Creativity Program funded in 2019 as many as 3,621 proposals.
