In this era of digitalization, facilities for parents to check their son's/daughter's study activities, both academic data and administrative data, have become a necessity. This seems simple but it can become a very fatal problem when irresponsible students take advantage of these weaknesses to do negative things during their studies and this can have a direct impact on students' grades and graduation rates.
At the beginning of 2018, Tanjungpura University implemented an Android-based application intended for parents/guardians of students to be able to monitor their sons/daughters who are studying at Tanjungpura University. Prof. Thamrin Usman as Chancellor of Untan hopes that this application can be a solution for parents of students, especially for parents who live outside the city of Pontianak, in fact many Untan students come from outside the island of Kalimantan.
This application can be found on the “Google play store”, downloaded and installed easily on the respective devices. Parents/guardians just need to go to the Play Store application and enter the keyword "ortu Untan" or go directly to the address https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.embarcadero.OrtuUntan
To get a parent's PIN, you can input data at the address http://ortu.untan.ac.id/, the data entered will be validated, then parents/guardians will get a PIN sent by the system via SMS.
